Just south over Pratumnak Hill, Jomtien is longer, calmer and more relaxed. It's the spot for sunbeds, seafood shacks, watersports and long walks. Popular with families and long-stay visitors.
Wong Amat & Naklua
North of the centre, Wong Amat has the softest sand in the city and a quieter, more upmarket feel. Great for a laid-back afternoon away from the crowds.
Cosy Beach (Pratumnak)
A small, sheltered cove tucked below Pratumnak Hill. Calm water and a local feel — a favourite hidden corner.
Koh Larn (Coral Island)
For truly clear water, hop a ferry from Bali Hai Pier. Tawaen, Samae and Nual beaches offer white sand and snorkelling a short boat ride from the mainland.
